What are the entrance fees?

The entrance fee this year is going to remain the same as last year, $50.00.  This will cover the entrance fee to the league, the cost of the stats service for the season, and also the draft board and other administrative needs.  Without exception you MUST have your entrance fee paid prior to the draft.  In the past the commissioners have been lenient in enforcing this rule however, we must have it in hand the day of the draft.  NO CHECKS.  Some returning members may owe more or less due to fees not collected or disbursed following last season.

When and where is the draft?

The draft date has not been determined as of the writing of this document.  We will be better able to address this as the season nears.

What are the roster requirements?

During the draft you must fulfill the following requirements for your roster in any order that you choose:

2-QB's       3-RB's     4-WR/TE's    2-Kickers    1-DL/LB    1-DB   1-Spec.Team

For each game you may only start:

1-QB's       2-RB's     3-WR/TE's    1-Kickers    1-DL/LB    1-DB    1-Spec.Team

Plus each week you must specify one of your bench players as your tiebreaker player.  This players point value will only be used if the total of the starting players points end up in a tie.

What are crossover players?

Crossover players are those like Deion Sanders or Charles Woodson that primarily are defensive players that are also used on offense.  If one of these types of players are selected you must at that time declare at what position that he is being drafted.  Therefore if you draft Deion as a DB and he catches a pass for a touchdown you will not entitled to those offensive points.

What if I can not field a full team of players?

You must fill each offensive position every week with a player that is not on injured reserve, off due to a bye week, or off for suspension.  If you have players that are not available to start for one of these reasons and therefore can not fill the the starting offensive requirements for that particular week you must acquire a player that can fill that vacancy.  If you fail to fill every offensive position with a starter then you will be fined $5.00.  The goal in this is to make each game every week one that is competitive.  We have had issues in the past where partial lineups were phoned in for games that could have had playoff ramifications.

How is the scoring calculated?

Each game is played on a head to head basis with the team scoring the most points being declared the winner.  We use a stats service to accomplish this that is covered by your entrance fee.  Click here to view the scoring table.

The player with the high score of the week will be credited $5.00.

How can I acquire new players?

There are two ways to acquire new players.  First you can trade with other owners.  There is a flat fee of $3.00 for each party involved per trade.  The trading deadline is is the Thursday prior to week eleven of the NFL season.  No team may trade a player for cash and unconscionable trades can be vetoed by a unanimous vote of Chris Norris, Bob Kelly, and Rick Deemer.  If one or more of the above are involved in a questionable trade then we will ask Chad Thomas and Mike Musetta to review the transaction.

Also you may acquire via free agency bidding.  Our system is through a silent bidding process.  Call or fax Rick Deemer with the name of the player that you would like to bid on, the amount of your bid ($0.75 minimum), and the name of the player that will be cut if this player is acquired, between 6PM Wednesday and 8PM Thursday.  Rick will send his bids to an uninterested third party, probably someone at Norris' office prior to 6PM Wednesday.  After all bids are received those teams that bid will be notified of their success or failure.   The deadline for free agency is the Thursday prior to our final regular season game.  There is no free agency during the playoffs.

How is the schedule determined?

The schedule as well as the division assignments are determined solely but the draft order.  For instance if you are the first pick in the draft you are team A1, second pick B1, third pick C1, then the fourth pick would be A2, and this would repeat through the first round.  This yields three divisions with five teams placed in the Rozelle (A), five in the Lombardi(B), and four in the Halas(C)

How many teams make the playoffs?

A total of 6 teams will make the playoffs.  The three division winners and three wildcard teams.  Wildcard teams are chosen keeping the tie breaker system in mind.  The two top division winners will receive first round byes with the other division winner playing the lowest seeded wild card team and the remaining two wild card teams matched up.  This is done on week 14 of the NFL season

The next round will match the highest seeded division winner playing the lowest seeded wild card team remaining  and the second seeded division winner playing either the remaining division winner or the highest seeded wild card.  This will be week 15 of the NFL season.

Championship game will match the two remaining teams.  Also the consolation game will be held between the two teams most recently eliminated to determine third place.  This will be during week 16 of the NFL season.

What is the tiebreaker system that we use?

What is the disbursement schedule?

The monies distributed will be distributed after all of the entrance fees, free agent bids, trades, and fines are collected minus administrative costs and stats service costs are determined.  The champion will receive 75% of that total pot, the second place finisher 15%, eith 10% going to the winner of the consolation game.  Last years numbers were $568.16 for first, $105.36 for second, and $75.76 for third
